I may be coming into anywhere from 40-80k in the next year or so, what's the best way to utilize it and make the most of it?

Long story short I am in a lawsuit that will likely be coming to a close within the next year or so, and my settlement is likely to be in the range of 40-80k total (CAD ofcourse)

What is the best thing to do with this money?

I was thinking of saving it until we get some sort of big market crash and then buying the dip basically looking for longterm gains over the next few years or so

But I wanted to see what other suggestions would be
