UPDATE:
So he sent me a letter from New York Life insurance Company (he incorrectly told me Metlife). It wasna reminder that he will be charged About $2700 for his annual policy renewal. He said the policy is worth something like $430K and that you only have to pay for 10 years or something like that. It has 2 agents and their phone numbers listed. 1 with an NYC and w with long island Area code. And the individuals actually look real and legit when googling them.

I have a friend who has been telling me about this type of life insurance called Custodial or Custodian life insurance. He has been encouraging me to get into it now that I have a child. He has several kids and he made a lot of money during Covid as a traveling healthcare worker.
He's been buying property, getting into land and real estate business etc. He's a smart guy and at least has the material goods to show for it (house, porche, ryker) However he also said I should invest in Novatech a few years ago because he was making so much money. It seemed like a scam to me at the time or at least had strings attached. Fast forward to today and I found a article from the Justic Department about the guys who ran it being charged for fraud LOL. I showed it to him and he was "yea, I lost 50k because of them" and he also lost money in EminiFX. Another crypto scam group with charges against them. Both companies targeted Haitian Americans, and my friend is also Haitian American.
I told him I cant find anything about Custodian life insurance and he said, "oh no. You need a broker, he does it through Metlife".
He texted me the Brokers name and number. It's some Haitian dude who I can barely find any info on. I saw something about him being a financial advisor, but he has the most common Haitian name I've heard it could be any guy. I also can't find any info on Metlife about it.
I won't be calling this guy because this screams scam to me, but I was wondering if maybe there's a chance it's real and some how this highly profitable investment life insurance policy has been kept secret from everyone except Haitian Americans?
