Will investing money after I’ve submitted my FAFSA still affect my financial aid?

I’m currently a junior in college, and I’ve already submitted my FAFSA for the 2026–2027 academic year. Since I won’t need financial aid after that, is it safe for me to start investing now, or should I wait until a specific point so it doesn’t affect my aid?
