I really want to be able to move out from my family’s house by the end of 2027. Right now, I’m in college and I’m trying to figure out the best way to balance school, work, and saving money so I can make this goal happen. Currently, if I take 2–3 classes, I make around $800 a month from school-related income or work-study opportunities. If I push myself and take 4–5 classes instead, I could potentially make up to $1,500 a month. That’s a big difference, and it would allow me to save more money for rent, utilities, and all the other expenses that come with living on my own.

In addition to my school-based income, I’m planning to get a part-time job working two days a week. I haven’t decided exactly where I want to work yet, but I know that even just two days a week could give me extra money to put toward my goal. I want to make sure I’m not only covering my living costs but also saving for emergencies, transportation, and personal expenses so I can feel financially stable once I move out.

I’ve been thinking about how to budget my money, track my spending, and make steady progress every month. I want to create a plan that allows me to save consistently while still taking care of my education and other responsibilities. Moving out by 2027 feels like a big milestone, and I’m motivated to work hard, stay disciplined, and make choices that will get me there. I know it won’t be easy, but with a clear plan and determination, I believe I can reach this goal.

I’m wondering what should I invest my money into so that in 2027 I can move out and feel comfortable with my decision
