What do you think about factor based investing often promoted by the more academic side of finance? Being small cap and value stocks offer return premiums, so it’s good to have weight in those, as well as a large amount of international diversification because the US outperformance to this point is an “anomaly” and may not last very much longer.
Value and international have both underperformed in the recent decade or two, so what do y’all think about the academic outlooks viability?
