I've seen multiple people online suggesting to buy stocks by checking what billionaires and politicians invest a lot of money into. Like seemingly small random stocks that they drop millions on. Those people say that it means that they know something that regular people don't. But it's always "comment or subscribe for more info" but I don't trust to engage with them. I'm not super investment savvy and have little money to invest, basically some savings for retirement that I had to start taking money out for current bills. I know there's no magic formula but for example if I could even invest $500 or $1000 and get $100 back short term that would help me, so it there any merit in what those people say? Where could they possibly get information on what those billionaires and politicians invest in? They show it on screen as if there are public websites with that information.
