What is your perspective on quarterly performance compared to long-term tech bets?

I was reading WeRide's Q3 update and some AV companies still in showcase mode but WeRide's numbers actually moved this quarter. Their top line grew and their robotaxi side was able to grow alongside it. What surprised me was the jump in margin which leveraged a noticeable stronger gross while also allowing losses to be cut by a significant amount.

It also seems like it's correlating with what is happening on the ground. Their fleet is now well over 1000 vehicles, and the announcement of their progress in Abu Dhabi and Zurich helps explain why robotaxi performance ramped this quarter.

When a company in this sector has obvious improvement on a quarterly basis along with consistent deployment, does it reshuffle how you view the sector as a whole? Or is AV still truly a long game while waiting for quarterly, or annual, results to build in the long term?
