The stock market’s been a rollercoaster lately, and one big factor seems to be the government shutdown-delayed September nonfarm payrolls report that finally dropped. It showed +119K jobs added, which beat expectations, but unemployment unexpectedly ticked up to 4.4%.
These numbers are already outdated (we’re in November now!), and they feel kinda contradictory – strong job growth but rising unemployment? It’s not giving much clarity on what the Fed might do next month, especially with all the split opinions out there.
Do you guys buy into this data, or does it seem fishy/off-base? Is it a bullish sign for stocks, a red flag, or just noise? How’s this affecting your trades or portfolio? Let’s discuss – curious to hear your takes!
