Question - At one point do you personally take profits on successful investments?
A lot of people stay invested "forever" , I wonder if they are overly attached to certain companies and missing out on profit.
I have made some successful picks and considering taking some profits from growth stocks to re-invest to more income generating / dividend paying options. I am not much of a trader and have only taken profits a couple of times. Mid 30s and want more income generation. Thanks
EDIT - honestly surprised more people don't wanna take profits at highs and re-invest... also, people are assuming I am selling 100% of my holdings. I am talking about taking some profits off of successful holdings to re-invest, not getting fully out of my position. It looks like a lot of ppl on reddit want to die with their portfolio ... but you're not making money until you sell.
