I’ve been trading for some time but I’m definitely no expert (if the title didn’t give that away). I’ve been using Robinhood for about 10 years, typically as a buy and hold but early in 2025 I got into options. For about 2 months now I’ve been doing the options wheel strategy, which requires cash sitting in my
account. I currently have around $8k cash that I’m wheeling with, so nothing crazy but it would be nice if I could pick up some interest while doing this, just for the little bit extra. Robinhood gold is $5 a month and I’d get 3.75% apy. Fidelity would give me about the same without a fee (I already have my retirement accounts with fidelity) but I saw somewhere that fidelity has higher limits on their options contracts. Does anyone have experience with a smaller brokerage account and use fidelity, specifically do you also do options? What would some advantages be of switching to fidelity?
