Ok mad I know, but what if Netflix bought Disney?

So this might sound nuts, but I’ve been thinking about the mess Disney is in right now, cable dying, ESPN future unclear, streaming not printing cash, and wondered what if Netflix actually tried to buy Disney? A lot of media consolidation going on, etc.... with paramount, Tiktok, ChatGPT getting into media content creation, etc..

Yeah, Disney is huge but Netflix has been pretty fearless when it comes to staying ahead. Bob Iger’s already hinted that Disney might spin off or sell pieces like ESPN and traditional TV. If the price ever got right, could Netflix swoop in?

Netflix would instantly get:

* A monster IP library (Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney classics).
* Merch + theme parks for real-world cash flow.
* Global reach way beyond streaming.

Disney would get:

* Netflix’s streaming tech + data smarts.
* A proper digital-first culture.
* A way to reinvent their theme park rides with the netflix shows
* Maybe leadership that’s hungrier to reinvent.
