I'm seeking assistance in determining how to proceed with my 401 (k) from my previous employer. I am illiterate when it comes to investing. I left my last job and had 200K sitting in the 401K plan. After some research online, it made sense to open an IRA, and I transferred the entire 200K to this account (Schwab IRA).
Where I am struggling now is how to split this 200K within ETFs? Should I invest in a single ETF that tracks the S&P 500, buy individual stocks, or consider an alternative approach? It would be super helpful if you could provide some high-level guidance.
Also, do you recommend a financial advisor to manage all this?
