What metrics do you use for MF/ETF buy orders?

First I want to limit the discussion to mutual funds and ETF's since thats a bulk of my investments.

There are a few different research methods that I've found and liked, I wanted to create a discussion around them and see if there are any I'm missing out on.

1. 30 / 60 / 90 trend lines for timing the buys and sells over/under the line
2. Investors that publicly state buy/hold/sell suggestions (not any specific investor but monitoring multiple)
3. 3 / 6 / 12 month growth trends
4. Morning star risk rating, and fund classes 1-4 for balanced vs risky/industry specific funds
5. The 9 box val/growth and size metric and monitoring where in the chart I am vs where I want to be
6. Monitoring the percentage of investments (cash, foreign, domestic, ect)
7. Adding up the amount of a single stock across multiple funds to prevent overinvesting to one unintentionally

I wanted to see if there are other things I should be considering, and if there are tools I can be using to help track these. I plan to build a tracker for this data, and have an API key with NASDAQ, among other sources... I initially wanted to build it for personal use but ended up beginning to build some complex features that I think others could benefit from so I was thinking of allowing other people to access it too (I already host it on a site I have for personal use anyway, so it would be easy for me to provide it if anyone was interested)

As I was thinking this, I realized there are probably so many other tracking methods that other people might need to be able to effectively use it. So I want to see what else is out there, and if there are some tools that exist (i.e. I dont want to spend the time to build something that I could just use freely, or not pay much for)

So what strategies do you all use? And which of mine do you use and how/why?
