I keep asking myself if it’s even realistic to reach $10M just from an average salary and regular stock investments, By that I mean things like index funds or picking solid growth stocks, Sometimes it feels like unless you use leverage, trade options, or take big risks.
What confuses me even more are all the posts I see about people going from $20k to $4M in just 2 to 3 years, I’m not saying big returns don’t happen, because i also have had good gains with some cryptos and stocks, and even some other options, but most of my portfolio growth still comes from my job, I just don’t get how so many people claim 40 to 50x returns so quickly, Are they adding income from work on the side, or is there something they’re not saying?
Because on the process of getting something like that even my parents keep telling me to buy traditional stocks because crypto is too risky, I didn’t listen at first, especially after catching a 300% altcoin pump, But then I got liquidated and learned my lesson, I’m still trading crypto futures, but I also started doing U.S. stock futures on Btgt to balance things out, It feels a bit steadier when I’m mixing both.
For those of you who actually grew your portfolio fast, was it mostly from smart trades, steady contributions, or something else entirely?
