ok random thought but I was scrolling through tickers and it hit me… we got weed stocks, booze stocks, casino stocks, even like sports betting everywhere now… but what about adult entertainment? like… is there such thing as a porn stock??
seriously tho… if OnlyFans ever IPO’d, tell me that thing wouldn’t just blow up on day 1. same with Pornhub if they ever figured out how to list. people already pay subscriptions like it’s Netflix, margins are probably insane, and it’s not like demand is going away anytime soon.
closest thing I found is PLBY (Playboy). yeah that Playboy. they came back to the market through a SPAC in 2021, stock went crazy for a bit and now it’s literally under 2 bucks. basically feels like a scratch-off ticket. either it dies completely or one random headline and it’s back on the radar.
not telling anyone to buy (do what you want, it’s your money). I just think it’s funny how this is like the one vice industry wall street doesn’t openly mess with even tho it’s probably bigger than half the stuff they pump.
