Online broker choice if investing for your friend

I have Charles Schwab. My friend is giving me a large amount to invest for him and I dont want it in Charles Schwab investing in SWPPX. I want it separate. If you are in a similar situation, which online broker would you use and what is the equivalent of SWPPX would you invest in? This is a friend's money and I want it safe. Thanks.
