HSBC lied about bond callability – now refusing to pay interest. What can I do?

I’m a private investor who purchased callable bonds through HSBC (US). Before I bought, I was told they could **only be called once**. Now I’ve found out the bonds are actually **callable monthly or annually** after that date — a major misrepresentation. It is all very sketchy.

Worse, HSBC is now refusing to pay me **the accrued interest I earned** while holding the bond. They want to buy them back **without interest**. This has been ongoing for 2 months, and no progress, and HSBC complaint filing does not even work (nothing happens after 3 weeks of waiting)

Also there is opportunity cost, since my money is locked up by them.

I’ve filed a complaint with FINRA and may escalate to arbitration and media. This feels like outright deception. Has anyone experienced something similar with HSBC or other banks? Any advice on next steps or legal recourse?

Thanks — I want to make sure this doesn’t happen to other investors, please be careful investing in HSBC (US)
