Investing in the Trump-n-*umps: Look for the Pattern

1) Trump aggressively goes after some country, market sector, etc.

2) (optional) The stocks correlated to that take a hit (which is what they would like)

3) Trump lightens up the rhetoric a bit, usually with gaslighting ("I never said that, we're not doing that")

4) Thurs/Fri of some week he does his "wink wink nudge nudge" tweets about "big news coming". His insiders are already prepped with their positions to take advantage of it. It's your job to figure out what he's been shit-talking really bad that might benefit from good news.

5) Weekend announcement made. Insiders make a killing.

6) Monday shows up. Normies either bag-hold after the weekend dump, or get crumbs with small gains buying up after the major pump has happened.

This has happened multiple times. Tariffs in general, Steel tariffs, etc, etc. We just saw it happen again.

When Trump took office they were doing this every week. Then they damaged the dollar, bonds, etc. They pulled back to doing it every month. It happened early April. It just happened here in May.

Trump says he doesn't care about the market, but he does. He likes knowing he can just tweet something and watch the numbers go up or down. To him, that's power. He can F with peoples money. That's power.

So, just look for the signs.

What is he up in arms about now?

Big Pharma.

He wants to tariff drugs coming into the country, but also have an EO demanding lower drug prices. That's basically a big "FU" to drug companies, b/c he wants to increases their prices with tariffs while demanding they lower their prices to consumers.

This is what he did with Canada, EU, China, Tech sector... create some impossible a-hole demand of them to piss everyone off. Then ease up and "make a deal" to create a bounce back.

Since market has bounced-back (still in the green) after his "China Pause" weekend, I think they'll ramp up how quickly they try to pull their next trump-a-lump. He'll probably ramp up the rhetoric hard against drug companies this week and next. Then there will be talks about meeting with drug companies. He'll come off strong in his tweets about them. Then it'll die down for a week. Then week after, on thu/fri.. "big news this weekend! very bigly! good things to come!" Boom.. weekend news causes things to bounce.

All you have to do is wait for that "big news is coming!" thu/fri, and then remember what he's been bagging on lately. Buy up what you think might benefit.

EG: he's been bagging on China for weeks with impossible tariffs. Then he softened the language a bit for a week. Then thu/fri "big news this weekend!" I bought shipping stocks. I figured something was happening. Sure enough, the stocks went up 10%.

EG2: I got burned during his steel tariffs BS. I listened to it all play-out, then bought in on the Monday following the weekend. I got squat, and two of the steel stocks started tanking soon after. I sold for a bit of a loss to opportunity cost my money some place else.

But, I started learning the pattern, and it's been paying off.

All this said, it feels like being a kid playing with fire crackers. It's nice to watch the fuse, know the bang is coming, and throw it away to let it bang feeling like everything is under control. But, they might throw a ringer at us. The firecracker may go off in our hands at some point. And, I still think the economy is damaged long-term. IE: we're going to see a gradual slide downwards.

But, if you can see the trump-n-dump/pump coming, you can take advantage of it.
