How much did you and your spouse have saved in retirement prior to having your first child?

Obviously for those who have decided to have a child! But when did you feel “comfortable” financially?

Everything is so expensive and only keeps getting worse so I am wondering if you saved as much as you could prior knowing it would become difficult post.. Any advice for maintaining good financial status is also welcome! Thank you in advanced.
