I inherited a large sum of money…unsure what to do

As the text says, my older aunt said she had a gift for me. She reached into her purse and pulled out a $25 AMC gift card and said she hadn’t used it in ten years since there were none near her. She handed it to me and said “it’s yours”.

My wife and I are looking at it on the kitchen table. We’ve never had this much money come at us at once. Should we invest it? Should we pay a tiny fraction of our crippling student loans or our enormous monthly rent for our 1/2 bed studio apartment? We’re concerned to tell our friends because we’re afraid they’ll get jealous or ask to see a movie with us.
