What to do with 5-10k a month strictly for investing after maxing out retirement funds?
Hey I am a new investor, mid 30’s and am just now getting into investing in traditional markets.
Self employed and have a 401k set up in my business which my wife and I have maxed out for 2 years, we will continue to do so.
Only debt is the house with a 3.5% loan 700k left
Have $100k in a high yield savings account.
I want to start investing monthly with about 5-10k extra income every month.
Opened a fidelity taxable account and put 17k in a couple Boglehead tickers one for total US stock market another for international market.
Honestly I’d like some higher potential returns and would like to pick some stocks individually for some fun. I’m open to other ways to use this money too, not just stocks.
I know individual stock pickings usually are a fail compared to the whole market. I have a high risk tolerance as I was only in crypto until I lost more than I’d like to admit with a couple bad trades.
Should I just keep with the Boglehead way with my taxable account? What would you do if you are in my boots. I hope to hold for 20-30 years.
