What does everyone thinks of having some thematic ETFs on top of the SP500 or hlobal equity funds? The classic one is Nasdaq of course, where you get an exposure in tech, but how much of that would you have on top of a hlobal one that has top holdings on tech, too?
I started last year with 50% Fidelity World (global equity), 50% L&G Global Tech, which is like Nasdaq but with added international exposure. Now after the Trump dip followed by the recent upside, my global equity has just recovered and in the green again, but the tech is still red and I'm thinking, 50% tech is probably too much risk? Would you just keep it around 10-20%?
Also, what do you think of defense ETFs like the VanEck Defense? Would these be a good investment in times like these, with geopolitical volatility and European defense spending ramping up? Not seeking financial advice here neither want to time the market, just curious of what others think. Thanks.
