Let's assume a scenario of great destruction, full scale nuclear war, in which an EMP blast wipes out all machines in existence and we go back to the paper trading era. Would a standart Ivy-League portfolio hold up better than the most famous form of the Yale portfolio, popularized by the book of Swensen? Would 20 percent gold, 20 percent commodities, 20 percent remaining stocks, 10 percent remaining bonds and the rest in available real estate do the trick?
