Feel like everything is futile

More of a vent than anything else but I’m a first generation college student, my parents aren’t from the US and it’s been difficult navigating finances. Been caught in the cycle recently of those who were raised poor stay poor and it’s starting to feel that way. I’m 31 with only 65k saved in my retirement vehicle and 15k in cash (too scared to put in the market rn). My parents don’t have any life savings and no matter how much I talk to my fam about being financially literate it falls on deaf ears. When we go out in expected to pay and still get called cheap nonetheless. It’s created some resentment in me and I rue the day I’ll have to pay for their medical bills due to their poor self-care. My future seems bleak and even though I have a couple STEM degrees and decent income it’s still not enough imo. Kinda going crazy trying to assign value to my life right now with such a low success threshold.
