I live in the US, my savings are in dollars, and my portfolio is largely S&P index funds followed by US-based companies.
I don’t feel positive about the future of US financial markets and I want to reduce my risk in the event of a catastrophic crash. I’m essentially looking for a low-cost way of holding a “financial life boat”.
Would that be something like gold? Or forex investing (not familiar with this)? Can a US-based average investor buy stock in a European company through European markets?
Thanks!
