Out of curiosity I'm trying to understand how big a deal the dip caused by Trump's tariffs was.

Is that a huge deal in and of itself? If you brought the bottom of the dip you'd be in the same position as someone who invested just over a year ago.
Or was it the fact that it happened so quickly, and it looked like it was going to drop further?
Let's not get distracted by politics. I'm sure we all have opinions on Trump but I'm only asking about the size of the dip.
