Why do members of this subreddit feel like putting 70% ($300,000) into one stock is bad?

Whenever I post about putting 70% of my portfolio, or 300,000 USD into one stock, people get so upset. What's the big deal? As long as I know what the income from operations is, and the price to earnings ratio, if it's a chinese stock, then I just have to worry about regulatory risk (which is real) and a danger.

But, I have another 30% of my portfolio in an American company which is a micro cap also, and so I can recover the 70% if it is completely lost. So I'm, what I think, is effectively hedging my losses and maximing my potential gains.

Why is that so hard for people here to grasp? The market and the positioning of one's portfolio dictates their actions, etc. My portfolio has recently declined by almost 50% due to steep market crashes in the last 3 weeks, but that's just part of the game.

I think that in the next 12-36 months, there is the very realistic possibility of me being able to crack a $1-1.2 million portfolio value, just based alone on these two positions - though obviously that is subject to change based on the circumstances.

Why do people downvote everything I do? I put a lot of thought into it.
