My husband and I have worked our asses off to save $100,000 for my daughter’s college education. I was SO proud on the day we hit that goal. She is currently a junior in high school. Her 529 was up to $109,000 about a month ago and now it’s down to $98,000. I’m having horrible anxiety over this. I feel so helpless. Please don’t yell at me and tell me I should have known better. I already feel terrible.
We’re down a lot of money in our retirement investments, but we have some time to recover there. We just don’t have the time to recover in the 529 and who knows how much further it will drop. This is excruciating.
