worst financial advice i received was “the best time to invest was yesterday, the second best is now”

turns out “now” was mid January. I’ve only known red ever since. Had i waited I would’ve avoided the effects of a probable recession. Now I will have to wait maybe years just to hopefully be at breakeven.
I know you can’t time the market, but man does it feel awful to be at my first experience and already down so much, and seeing the mango face celebrate with his chronies at the white house the intraday gains from obvious manipulation. Made me lose all faith in the markets, and if I weren’t so deep in the red I would sell and get the hell
out for good. The last few months made my stomach turn in disgust.
