My friend is currently playing the marketwatch investment game at school, and he doesn’t have the smallest clue about how it works, so I’m doing it for him. I’m currently 2nd out of 91 +$35,000 (started with 100k).
My strategy is basically to just trade stocks like Nvda and Tesla on the 5min timeframe (I use TradingView for precise entry’s and take profits).
At the beginning of the week the teacher of the class that is playing this game, got one of his old students that graduated a few years ago to enter the contest, and he is now the only person ahead of me in the rankings. He’s only placed 6 trades and he’s up 107k in profit. My pov on this is that he either works in finance and has some sort of inside info, hacked the game, or he finds random volatile penny stocks and trades that way.
Does anyone have any advice on what I can trade so I can try for bigger profits even if the risk is significantly higher?
