If someone runs out of money buying the dip because market keeps dipping, should they use their emergency fund?

Stock market keeps dipping this year and I ran out of the cash because I bought in January, February, March and now in April I don't have cash left besides my 6 month emergency fund. Should I use my emergency fund to buy the dip or no?

Also, for future, what are some guidelines on "how much" to buy when the market drops so I can prevent running out of cash before the actual drop happens?

I am very devastated because in the last 3 months I lost equivalent of a year worth of savings but I guess this is normal and I can't expect to make money every year in the stock market. I don't plan on selling and I hope it will recover in the future.

For reference I am 27 yo with plans to FIRE by 50.
