If I haven't purchased a stock for 30 days and then I purchase it on Monday and sell it on the following Tuesday at a loss, does the purchase on money cause the sale at a loss to be a wash or as long as I don't repurchase in 30 days, it will count as a loss and not wash?
Basically my question is, does the original purchase cause the sale the next day to be a wash?
