Q about employer 401ks during a recession

Given that the stock market is going to be depressed for probably a while, is it better to stop putting money into my employer 401(k) and wait for the stock market to bottom out and then lump-sum put that money into the 401(k)?

So essentially, the money that I am putting in biweekly right now, is it buying stocks/index funds whatever that I know are going to go down as soon as they are purchased?

And I know I am ignoring the tax benefits of an employer 401(k) in this question
