Investment risk assessment in current environment

Is what would traditionallly have been considered average or medium risk, for example (usually 60/40), still that or does the current environment make that proposition more "risky" than in the past? I am a higher risk investor because I am ok with the typical risks associated with it but I am not sure that the current environment warrants the same evaluation of risks considering the impact of one, seemingly demented, person. TLDR; should we re-evaluate traditionally understood risk levels due to the US president?
