Moving Non-Retirement Institutional Investor Mutual Funds to New Entity - Taxable
I am hoping to move some non-retirement money to a new brokerage away from my financial advisor. These are the funds (below). I believe all of these are institutional investor only funds and I'd have to sell when I move them and it would no longer be viewed as in-kind? Is there any way to avoid taking the tax hit right now? Or if I moved them and their balances to equivalent funds at a retail brokerage does that avoid needing to pay taxes on the gains?
