Hey folks. I am trying to raise funds for a feature film and I wanted to try and do an NFT Drop that sold shares in the movie and would love people's opinions advice before I fully commit to this idea :)
To be able to share the revenue / shares of the film with NFT investors I need to register with securities and it is far easier if I work with accredited investors who invest $50k min.
We have had some meetings with some studios who said it has strong franchise potential but they wanted to take over the project which I don't want to do so I want to try and go the indie route and raise the money myself to maintain creative control.
It could make more money in merchandizing, gaming and theme parks etc. than the movie itself.
For higher investors $1million + they get an on-set experience, small part as a fantasy creature in the movie, Exec Producer credit, come to cast and crew party in a castle in Ireland and then come to the Premiere + revenue share and IP in the overall brand.
The budget is $10 million and ChatGPT estimates the project has broad appeal and could make $90-$170million in the box office (but obviously that is not guaranteed).
It as an Oscar winning production team whose movies have generated billions in the box office and will be the first major hybrid AI/ Live action film which means I can make a movie that looks $50 million for a fraction of that budget.
Before the investors bought the NFT they would need to be accredited but this is because I am serious about them getting actual profit in a real movie that will be made and not just a crypto company that disappears overnight etc.
Would love to know what High Net Worth crypto investors think of this idea? What would stop you investing? What would make you want to invest etc?
Thanks for your feedback and let me know if you have any questions
