First off, I have a position. I don't wanna sound like Im unbiased or anything. I'd benefit financially from Rivian if they do well. But the reason I got into them is because of the megalomaniac. I wanted to support a solid product that's a great alternative. And then after I started exploring Rivian I was actually impressed. So it worked out both ways for me.
So what's up?.
I do see a lot of posts that are expressing deep anguish around what he has been doing. But to all the people that hate him, I'd like to say, if you really want to make a difference, if you really want to stick it up to him, and if you really want his business to plummet as a retribution for what he has been doing, just by spreading hate comments etc wouldn't really make much of a difference.
The real difference is to switch to other EV alternatives. Seriously, why shouldn't this be a movement? Why shouldn't the Tesla exodus that currently is happening snowball and grow?
This post isn't to pump my bags, I'm a small shrimp in the investing space. Rivian is a top class brand that builds amazing cars, and they have been doing everything that Tesla is working on but are doing it with grace.
If you don't know what Rivian is do take a moment and check it out. Yes the cars are expensive, but the real affordable R2 will roll out next year.
Support quality business that build with good intention and ones that don't promote hatred.
If you really wanna teach Elon a lesson, consider supporting Rivian as a business.
Of course supporting any other EV works as well. I personally brought up Rivian because I'm convinced they are a great brand that'll be an EV leader.
Hating on him wouldn't make a difference. You can make a difference by adopting quality EVs like Rivian etc.
So adopt peaceful alternatives to teach a lesson. Violence isn't healthy to anybody. Resist by choosing other alternatives.
