My friend swears by those activated carbon faucet filters but I read that they don’t really remove much besides chlorine?? Meanwhile, RO is supposed to take out stuff like lead, arsenic, even fluoride. I was looking at one of those [multi stage under sink systems](https://www.waterdropfilter.com/collections/undersink-ro-systems/products/reverse-osmosis-system-x12?ref=navimenu&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=sns&utm_campaign=X12-202503), but idk if it’s overkill or not. Anyone actually tested both? Is RO really that much better or just over hyped up marketing?
