Hi everyone, i have to preface this that I don’t know anything about investing and i feel like there is so much information out there that is overwhelming and hard to understand. For context I am only 25 and I have 25k sitting in an S&P 500. Its been invested for about 4 years and I haven’t seen much growth. The broker I worked with could never really answer my questions clearly and I am looking to purchase property internationally within the next 6 years and ideally want access to this money when that time comes. (I have separate savings as well) i am not a high risk person. I basically invested this money and have left it there because i was 19 and i just needed a responsible place to store it. Now that im older i want to explore other options but like i said above i kind of need this explained to me like a child. Im not interested in crypto, i just want to know if i should be looking at moving the money elsewhere as i am not really seeing any returns and i am also (maybe unreasonably) scared that the money could disappear in the case of a crash. I read many threads here and I kept seeing REIT being mentioned. What advice would you give me? Or even suggest what investments i should start researching? Thankyou!!
