Explains to me how living off interest works like I was 5. How much cash do I need to deposit and where do I invest so I can get a monthly 10k return?

I think the title is pretty self explanatory but here it is again: how much investment in the bank/cash in investments do I need in order to basically just live off the interest each month? We are talking 10k a month. And what type of investments? Do i hire a broker and have him take care of it and choose the best strategy? Is there a minimum amount needed? What should my initial investment be to guarantee comfortable monthly returns.
