Is auto tariff of 25% meant to help Tesla and Musk?

I understand tariff on autos from Mexico because of low labor cost but Canada and Europe are not cheap labor. Which leads me to think the purpose of the Tariffs is to help Musk and Tesla sales. Is Trumps main purpose to help out Tesla?

$TSLR Surging with P/E of 141

How is this possible and how long can this be sustained? Clearly, this is highly artificial considering Tesler's sales have absolutely tanked. Is this just temporary market manipulation by Trump and his cronies? Surely, this has to fall hard.
