Can someone explain to me what is going so wrong with Novo Nordisk stock?
I remember not long ago Novo Nordisk was Europe's most valuable company. In 2024 revenue was up 25% and up 30% in 2023. But the stock is now trading at 2022 levels and is down 32% just so far this year. What is going on?
Experimenting with AI as a TradingView assistant — early demo, would love feedback
I saw [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Trading/comments/1judegz/how_i_used_chatgpt_to_make_72k/?share_id=USHRX7mr7aGInn3FKrVD4&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1) recently about using AI to assist with charting and thought: what if the AI lived inside TradingView itself? So I hacked together a Chrome extension that adds an AI sidebar directly in the TV interface, kind of like a Cursor-style agent for traders. It can: * …
For those worried about Powell being fired and replaced with a Trump loyalist, you don't need to worry (seriously)
Changes in interest rates require a majority vote of 12 members in the FOMC. Powell is one vote. The last time they voted (didn't change rates) it was a 12-0 majority. The Trump loyalist (2026 Q1 at the latest) will of course be very different when making speeches. But there's …
United Healthcare currently down ~23% today after missing earnings and slashing future forecasts, total loss of ~$100b in market cap
I don't think there has ever been this large of a drop in any of the top 10 companies in the F500 in a single trading day? From what I found on Google - the largest was Apple's \~10% drops, and Meta's \~15% drop. Crazy this is happening to the …
Why is gold suddenly tanking?
Gold is down almost 1% in the last hour after Trump has called to terminate Powell. Gold usually loves uncertainty and tension, and if Trump gets his way, rates will be cut, meaning likely higher inflation, a weaker dollar, and rising gold. ECB also cut rates today, which should theoretically …
Record 49% of hedge funds holding $386B USD have negative US outlook - why such a big sentiment disparity between institutions vs. retail?
Data is from Bank of America and analysis from Axios. They surveyed 164 hedge fund managers that manage a total combined $386B USD - and it seems like their outlook is risk-averse and pessimistic, and they are flocking to safe assets like gold and leaving behind US equities like Mag …
Trump fires two board members from credit union regulator, raising fears about the Fed's independence
"President Trump fired the two Democrats on the three-member board of the National Credit Union Administration, which regulates the nation's credit unions." "These latest firings, on the heels of similar dismissals at other agencies believed to be independent, is sparking concern that the Federal Reserve's independence is under threat — …
Interesting Stocks Today (04/17) - Cars, Chips, and Cures
This is a daily watchlist for short-term trading: I might trade all/none of the stocks listed, and even stocks not listed! I am targeting potentially good candidates for short-term trading; I have no opinion on them as investments. The potential of the stock moving today is what makes it interesting, …
What if the Dollar is about to Strengthen?
We all agree Trump came out heavy with the tarrif proposal. As I understand it today there is a blanket 10% tariff on most countries with other countries having higher rates. We can argue who is paying it, is is a good or bad idea. That's not the point here. …
