US SCV and LC momentum both outperforming market

Hey all, I have read many times over that that small cap value and large cap momentum tend to outperform the market during different cycles. However, AVUV and SPMO have both greatly outperformed VTI so far in 2026. Is this an anomaly, or are there often periods of outperformance overlap …

To what extent do you use AI to help you?

Is it more of a time saver? Or do you think it has given you an edge/special insight? Or something else? The things I hear people do with say Claude code makes be intrigued to hear how retail is leveraging AI. And whether it’s offering anything that really moves the …

Lost 70% on XRP. What would you do?

FKSAX and FZROX - keep both?

My company recently changed from vanguard to fidelity for our transitional 401k. I was moved into having FKSAX as one of my holdings. I also have FZROX for my Roth IRA personal account. Does it make sense to hold these two? I am leaning towards switching out FZROX from my …

Core PCE inflation rises to 3.4% making Fed hikes soon very likely

Core PCE inflation just got released and went up from 3.3% to 3.4% so certainly not going back to the Fed's target of 2%. Headline PCE inflation even hit 4.1%. Consumer spending also came in stronger than expected. Personal consumption expenditures rose 0.7% for the month of May. Different firms …

Standard broker watchlists are boring and designed to make retail lose money. (A former Big 5 Strategist's perspective).

Hey everyone. I spent a few years on the institutional side working as a Big 5 banking strategist, and honestly, watching retail get chopped up during these high volatility weeks is brutal. The biggest issue I saw from the inside is that retail tools are basically just noise generators. Your …
