My reasoning?
Mindmed received a fast track status on their first phase 3 drug treatment to treat anxiety. This was pretty groundbreaking as its the first of its kind. There is a new drug in the pipeline by MNMD that has also starts its phase 3 trials on good results so far as well. RFK Jr will almost certainly be confirmed this week to be health secretary. He has been very vocal about advocating alternative treatments to disorders that big pharma has paid so much money to censor over the years. (lots of articles supporting this, including RFK himself talking about it, you can google them)
Two price targets have been released last week that are astoundingly higher than current share price. One was Evercore for $23 and one was HC Wainwright at $55
Lastly, not the most important, but to add a little fuel to the fire, the short interest on this stock is insanely high at 35-40%
The only crushing scenario this could face in the short term would be RFK not getting confirmed, which is a possibility. But I don't see it happening and I see a massive rally from a slew of sectors he has been vocal about, shroom therapy definitely being one of them. And I think MNMD is positioned to go absolutely vertical on news of this.
