What would Bell Telephone stocks be worth today if someone had them since the 1940s?

If someone worked for Bell Telephone (which later became AT&T) in the 1940s and was gifted some company stock (I don't know how much), then sat on that stock to modern day. How valuable would it be? I don't know anything about stocks so TIA for your input and insights.
