I was told to join a crypto futures trading WhatsApp group by a coworker and at first it seemed legitimate because you could withdraw money and it appeared that it had been going for quite some time as well as all the people in charged seemed to check out and exist.
The groups "professor" would give daily trading signals and host lectures on Zoom as well as news briefs and things relating to crypto. They also had contracts for people higher up in the group that were trading with more then 50k per trade.
As of last week they seemed to have stolen everyone's money by intentionally liquidating everyone for 3 days in a row without opening the chat function in the group or addressing what happened.
At this point my team alone has lost close to 60k canadian and they have gone ghost and the messages no longer go through.
I don't expect to get my money back but at the very least I want this to never happen to anyone in the future.
