25M - I know it's no crazy statement since it's skyrocketed, but I wish I invested in crypto back in 2021 when I started long-term investing as a whole. Obviously it's my responsibility for not doing so, but I think a part of it was because the people around me that I looked to for guidance didn't have any desire to be involved. Fast forward to now, I don't understand why you wouldn't have exposure to it. Even if just like 2-3% of your portfolio.
That all being said, is it worth starting to DCA into a crypto portfolio now? (I was thinking maybe \~1/3 BTC, \~1/5 ETH, and then I don't really know what to sprinkle the rest across? I'm willing to be semi-aggressive since I'm young and it's a tiny percentage of savings). Or is it better to wait until the bull run is completely over. Everything I read and watch says crypto has continuously followed a 4-year cycle. And if that holds true and the boom continues through 2025 and then crashes in 2026... I'm not sure if I start DCAing now, or completely wait for any substantial crash and then begin. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
