<p>Happy Sunday traders. I hope everyone has had a great weekend and are excited for the week ahead and the start of a new OPEX cycle. Remember, old trends & themes end with OPEX, just as new cycles begin. </p><p>I’ve talked a lot about the Trump Victory Trade 2.0 thesis, and I’m sure at some point during this new cycle we will see some of those trades come to fruition, and they will likely lead into 2025. Throughout this plan, I’m going to go over some of my Trump Victory Trade 2.0 picks, where I want to press the buy button, and why.</p><p>With December OPEX underway, nothing major changes in my view. The overall effects of Trump’s victory and the confidence in equities likely won’t diminish, even with the softness seen last week. I also think markets and traders will begin looking ahead to December FOMC, which is from December 17th & 18th, with the Statement + Powell’s presser occurring on the 18th. The Fed is going to cut again in December, it is a foregone conclusion, and I think we’re going to see the dollar show this reality sooner than later. So this sets up a cooling off in the dollar sometime during December OPEX → selloff into December FOMC → consolidation into 2025, and lastly a renewed ramp higher the closer we get to Trump’s inauguration. At least, that’s my rough forecast for now.</p><p>Right now equities, especially dollar & yield sensitive stocks such as growth + tech have largely ignored the dollar’s strength. This will not last, and should the dollar remain elevated into Q1 2025, above ~ $107 let’s say, I do think that becomes a much stronger headwind and it will be virtually impossible for equities + other risk-on assets to ignore it. Yes, this includes crypto too. Nothing has changed about Bitcoin, even after all the election hoopla, it’s still just the Nasdaq on steroids.</p><p>As stated above, my goal in this plan is to highlight where my attention will be through December OPEX, where I see the most valuable R:R opportunities, and where I see discounted opportunities.
