P2P Is the Right Way to Use Crypto...Everything Else Is Just TradFi

Alright, let’s fight on ideals. JK - let's chat :)

Bitcoin was built for peer-to-peer transactions (“P2P e-cash system”). No middlemen. They were the root problem, or, cause for Bitcoin. No custodians holding your coins hostage. Yet now in crypto, CEXs dominate and most people don’t even touch P2P exchanges or know of them. KYC is the inherent centralized stranglehold we hoped to overcome w/ a P2P system.

I get that some people, including myself, just want convenience—but if you’re relying on Binance or Coinbase, is that really crypto? Or just another centralized banking system?

We have DeFi, but we have no \[easy\] way to onboard to DeFi (fiat onramp).

For those that use P2P, how'd you get there and why? If you don’t use P2P, what’s stopping you? Liquidity? Trust? Latency? UX? Never thought about it?

Curious to get people's thoughts on the state of crypto markets and ethos.
