<p>Welcome back all! I apologize for the lack of updates recently. Since getting back from vacation, there was a lot to catch up on at work and now we are heading into the holidays. I will post here with recaps on Mondays and topics on Thursdays as much as possible but intend to get back in a routine after the holidays by 2025! This past week in the market recovered from the post-election euphoria to push back towards all-time highs. We will go over a few reasons why!</p><p class="button-wrapper"><a class="button primary" href="https://beansandbucks.substack.com/subscribe"><span>Subscribe now</span></a></p><p><strong>Election Fallout:</strong></p><p>The entire month of November has been about the election, the immediate response to the results, the post-euphoria as some officials are appointed for the upcoming cabinet and earnings results. The market reacts to some of these appointments by President-elect, Donald Trump as we begin to look towards what the next 4 years will be like. While this is not a political Substack, we certainly need to acknowledge who will be running the country and how their policies affect our economy.</p><p><strong>Ukraine / Russia:</strong></p><p>Last week we had some shaky days when there was uncertainty with some of the tensions in Ukraine and Russia. On Wednesday, there were some Ukrainian missile strikes on Russia that caused the market to sell-off early. However, after the market stabilized, we had a run-up into close largely due to the Nvidia run-up in their earnings report.</p><p><strong>Nvidia Earnings:</strong></p><p>The market has largely been looking towards Nvidia due to their AI capabilities since this market explosion has been called the &#8220;AI Bubble&#8221; more than once. Nvidia beat both expectations and forecasts for next quarter, however the market sold off a little bit, presumably less than thrilled with the results. We opened lower on Thursday, but after digesting the report, we had a nice positive move intraday and went from deep red to strong green.</p><p><strong>Technical Analysis:</strong></p><p>After going sideways after the pump post-election, the market dropped and tested October highs around 5,850, which held, before running up higher back towards all-time highs at 6,000.</p><div class="captioned-image-container"><figure><a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" href="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fa82be5ce-1a74-474e-b3b1-391bb702b520_852x738.png" target="_blank"><div class="image2-inset"><source type="image/webp" /><img alt="" class="sizing-normal" height="738" src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fa82be5ce-1a74-474e-b3b1-391bb702b520_852x738.png" width="852" /><div class="image-link-expand"><div class="pencraft pc-display-flex pc-gap-8 pc-reset"><div class="pencraft pc-reset icon-container restack-image"><svg class="lucide lucide-refresh-cw" fill="none" height="20" stroke="currentColor" stroke-linecap="round" stroke-linejoin="round" stroke-width="2" viewBox="0 0 24 24" width="20" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"><path d="M3 12a9 9 0 0 1 9-9 9.75 9.75 0 0 1 6.74 2.74L21 8"></path><path d="M21 3v5h-5"></path><path d="M21 12a9 9 0 0 1-9 9 9.75 9.75 0 0 1-6.74-2.74L3 16"></path><path d="M8 16H3v5"></path></svg></div><div class="pencraft pc-reset icon-container view-image"><svg class="lucide lucide-maximize2" fill="none" height="20" stroke="currentColor" stroke-linecap="round" stroke-linejoin="round" stroke-width="2" viewBox="0 0 24 24" width="20" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"><polyline points="15 3 21 3 21 9"></polyline><polyline points="9 21 3 21 3 15"></polyline><line x1="21" x2="14" y1="3" y2="10"></line><line x1="3" x2="10" y1="21" y2="14"></line></svg></div></div></div></div></a></figure></div><p>This is very healthy action. I would like to see more buying volume on the green days take place, but all signs point to the 6,000 wall being knocked down and let the market break out.</p><p>Again, this week there will be no topic review for Thanksgiving. I will post sporadically through the new year and then get back on a consistent schedule in 2025!</p><p class="button-wrapper"><a class="button primary" href="https://beansandbucks.substack.com/subscribe"><span>Subscribe now</span></a></p><p>Have a great Thanksgiving with family and friends and thank you for reading, liking and subscribing!</p><p>Prosperously,</p><p>Jim</p>
